Lyrical Lyfestyles Vol. 1 Open Mic Session (2001)
(This is actually a flyer from one of the bigger shows we through at Metropolis, but it is so cool that I just cropped it for the cover. I think the orginal was just a printed white one. If someone has it, scan it and I will update.)

White Bread (the Adventures of Paulie Rhyme and Vic Freeze) Talented Tenth
So leading up to the release of the Talented Tenth Ep, I have decided to revisit some of these hilarities while me and Vic were on the road. This one is via the Jose Mateo tour while in Seattle, WA (Peace to the Seahawk fans) after we were on the search for some bread and could only find the wonder type. This right here is hillarious.

Everything But The Burden
Check out the first single off the new project, Talented Tenth with myself and the Cleveland homie, Vic Freeze. Produced entirely by Chris Avery, this project is a great way to start off the year. Look for it to drop in the next few weeks. In the meantime check out the single and leave a comment.

Update: Lyrics from the song for your reading pleasure...:)
Vic Freeze verse:
Your welcome/ my heart pure/ anytime fam/ hit up
The season of the go get it/ talented tenth/ mix up
Stand up/ me and paulie rhyme/ like a stick up
This 4 the Great Debaters / that was hated/ and still re-upped
Truth happens/ cant sit down/ gotta get up
Black man's burden/ we bench warrants/ lift up
Excercise my eyes/ above water/ chin up
This what they expect/ u lay down/ Im a sit up
Spit up/ bars from the soul/ no hiccup
Walkin down the street/ man she sweet/ like a pin up
Rondo off the dribble/ in my lane/ get lit up
They job/ is to break us down/ this be the fix up
Takin all the power/ prejudice and pride/ rip it up
Truthfully speakin / the benz and bentley thing/ bit up
Its cool to have some things / but some things/ a trip up
Our seeds/ indentured servants/ if we rewinding to ziplocks
Chorus:
Now you can be a wall flower, or the life of the party
Tag the bus stop or have your name on the marquee
One day you rise, next day you gone
This we know for certain, everything but the burden...
Paulie Rhyme verse:
When I flame on like rainstorm down Mississippi,
Resurrect my ancestors and bring they spirits with me,
Wave ya flag, suckatash, I got a cure for the hate,
Passing on my freedom, leave my bondage on the tape,
These rappers on a take, getting pimp instead of progress,
Put a match to the barrel, the real fire in the ghetto,
Smoke screens on the tube, holidays block ya view,
Rushing out to get in debt, but suck it up to disrespect,
Ya vital signs, walking dead need check,
Need a jolt, need to pulse, need a job without the coke,
Not a mic unless you nice, which is few and far between,
They slowing down the beat so you die on that lean,
Real crooks hit the books and buy bricks for they castle,
Hard is when you walking switching side of ya tassles,
You want a judge get a gavel and show me real juice,
Strive to a be a real king not a pawn on the loose….

OUT NOW ON VINYL – SUBLIFE LTD 001 !!! « SubLife Recordings
The Key Remix / Ruby Sky
Search Amazon.com for Lukeino
Sublife steps up for it’s first vinyl release with a hard hitting yet super smooth dancefloor friendly number. Atlantic Connection delivers a nice dubby remix to “The Key” by Lukeino & featuring Paulie Rhyme. Deep subs and dubbed out vocal bits get the vibe moving as the beats and breaks roll out some choice rhythms. Be ready for some hands in the air when this one drops… In the jungle, jungle, jungle!
The flip side of this plate offers another heater for the floor with “Ruby Sky” by Mutt, Calculon & Austin Speed. This tune starts out with a deceptively laid back and minimal intro with some fresh sound design and nice deep vibes. When it drops it hits tough with super low subs and running beats along with some choice vocal stabs and creative use of fx.
This release has already received early DJ support from Crissy Criss, The Bachelors of Science, Submorphics, Sinistarr & Stunna amongst others.
Order your copy of this limited addition vinyl release here:

Writings on the Wall Part 2 - Rumblestill
Since we in the mood and all and before I get off this to grab a bite, I decided to sit down with this one joint and see what happens. So the plan is in full swing. 2 joints done and 12 to go...Check this one...Peace
Rumblestill
They told us we was 3/5, but we rumble still,
Knew we was next, so we rumble still,
Tried to say no you can’t, and we rumble still,
We don’t really give a damn, but we rumble still,
Drink too much, but the flow stay clutch,
Alternate through these rhymes like my name was double Dutch,
Too much, bust quick, deluxe can’t mess with,
No rust, shine bright, buffet just grab a bite,
5 star, no general, more like that kuroi,
Too black to blow smoke, too thick you might choke,
Bullet through the brain magnetic, northeast the prophetic,
Through the west we like jetsons,
The future of these maneuvers, but we way more style,
Used to be way wild, borderline criminal,
But I’m just too cool for fools, checking bigots in school,
Yeah I know he ya dude, but I boguard like rick rude,
Steamboat to the throat, so they feel it in that abdomen,
Vocab like the Fugees, so I keep crews staggering,
Walking in dragging out, can’t tell what you made about,
It was never meant to be, you was never meant for these…
They told us we was 3/5, but we rumble still,
Knew we was next, so we rumble still,
Tried to say no you can’t, and we rumble still,
We don’t really give a damn, but we rumble still,
A new spiritual but I’m not a Negro,
Not a colored boy or an African American hero,
More like soul on ice or a lotus with a pulse,
Pound rice into mochi, flow trees into fall leaves,
Hunting season, like ghetto boys with 5th ward bees,
Ready Red cutting swiftly, or Bam clearing history,
Decipher codes and mysteries, like Newton with cool breeze,
You a splash of hot karate or old spice,
I’m like Black Dynamite with the mic, whip appeal,
Take a switch off the limb, show you how pain feel,
No need for the tricks, I just deal in the real,
Methodical with the drum, more like serial kill,
Make your body go numb, before I break the seal,
Spit a lethal injection like Cube envisioned the deal,
Then let the gas take effect, and let you drift into never land,
Then bag up the remains, and cement shoes ya man…

Back at It!!!!
So the blog is back up and running!!!
In an effort to get my connect on, I have decided that I will try my hand at this once again. So check back often, as I will probably start to a few times a week. I will try my best to post daily, but I am not making any promises. We are going to work this different though, as I will post not only my thoughts, but random verses, movie reviews, music reviews, and articles.
Let's go!
